Hiatus & Drops

Sometimes stuff happens, and you need to hiatus or drop! No problem, you've got options:
  • Pulled From imeeji to Another Program/Job—Hiatus & Drop
Maybe your character was contracted to star in a cooking show. Maybe they were pulled to go to a sitcom. Maybe they're doing photoshoots in the farther reaches of Hell, or maybe they're doing actual idol work with singing and dancing. What exactly they were pulled for is up to you, and if you don't want to specify, that's fine too! Upon coming back, characters are free to remember their experiences participating in a different flavor of constant surveillance entertainment darling Hell, or not, as it were—during their time, they may experience the mental effects of sofaform, losing their free will as they temporarily (or permanently) become a cog in the machine.

☆ZRAEL and BARiTONES members (including those who were transferred onto another unit) as well as members of the Trails cast have access to WAR G☆D's Safehouse as both a Hiatus and Drop option.

While on hiatus, character profiles are noted to be on temporary leave; while dropped, character profiles are removed from the unit's page entirely.

  • Guest Star Gogglebox—Hiatus only
This is a temporary hiatus option available only during 4th Wall!

Players may choose to yoink characters into a specific online web series, "Idols React to Guest Stars," where mainstay idols may watch guest star shenanigans as though they were part of the audience! During their time here, they'll be taken care of—whatever living necessities they need are provided to them in a private suite—but there's no entertainment available to them besides what's locally stored on their phone (no connectivity to any other app besides the banking app) and the 24/7 stream, which will primarily focus on guest stars.

During this period of time, characters may send point transfers (anonymous or otherwise) with a 140 character message attached to the transfers in the banking app. They may send any amount up to 3,000 of their own points; once they've hit that cap, they can no longer send any more points, even if they have that amount. On the flip side, if they have less than 3,000 already, they won't be able to send any more than they already have—this is coming straight out of their own wallet.

If you submit a hiatus using this option, it does not count as "using up a hiatus" as this is considered actively engaging with mechanics in the game; one transaction counts as one full proof that may be used for either points or unitmate activity—in other words, if you wanted to hiatus for the full event and submit three 1 point transactions, that would work; if you take a hiatus partway through the month and submit two threads and one point transaction, works for full activity as well. Please include your points sheet when you submit for this hiatus option and keep your points up to date. This hiatus may not be retroactively taken, but players may transition their already-hiatused characters to this option.

  • Hell Graduate Assistant Program—Hiatus only
Sometimes a dear old friend needs a helping hand, or sometimes they just miss a character who's still in game. If they manage to get through Hell's horribly inefficient bureaucracy, they can temporarily take on one idol from the main game for up to 7 IC days. (Roughly 21 days, or 3 weeks, OOC.)

While the idol is with the Graduate, they are still subject to having their free will flattened out—as a result, idols may feel compelled to defer to/obey the Graduate. Idols may be allowed by their Graduate to use their abilities only in the Graduate's personal/living areas, and Hell Graduates may not severely damage or traumatize the idol assistant. (Effectively, please do not create big dramas or greatly-impacting negative character development that are untouchable by in-game CR or would otherwise greatly impact in-game CR.)

The above is all known to Hell Graduates when they submit their form. Imeeji Idol Productions reserves the right to reject or stall out any assistant request for any reason, so this should not be treated as a reliable option.

Players are welcome to thread in [community profile] imeeji_postproduction. However, as this is a hiatus option, neither Graduate nor assistant should be pressured to thread at any particular pace, or even at all.

While this may be used as a retroactive hiatus, you must submit the hiatus on this post with a reply on the comment from the Hell Graduate for the hiatus to be valid.

  • Lost in Tokyo-F—Hiatus only
Tokyo-F is a big place! It's not surprising for a person to accidentally get on the wrong train and end up in the middle of nowhere, left to fend for themselves for a while. Characters may intentionally or unintentionally get themselves lost—regardless, however, characters will start to feel the strain of unit disparity after the third day being lost. Therefore, characters may only be lost in Tokyo-F for up to 13 IC days at maximum. (Roughly 39 days, 5 weeks, OOC.)

While on hiatus, character profiles are not noted to be on temporary leave, instead showing as a normal profile.

  • Lost in Heaven—Hiatus only
Your character has gotten themself lost in Heaven. They are trapped in the Gardens in a deep slumber, or wandering the unending hallways, unable to find their way out. Characters may intentionally or unintentionally get themselves lost—regardless, however, characters will start to feel the strain of unit disparity after the third day being lost. Additionally, sentinels roam the Heavenly halls, and will eject characters who have been in Heaven for too long; therefore, characters may only be lost in Heaven for up to 7 IC days. (Roughly 21 days, or 3 weeks, OOC.)

While on hiatus, character profiles are not noted to be on temporary leave, instead showing as a normal profile.

  • Death—Drop only
Just what it says: your character died, and no one found their body to revive them. Their soul was cycled into the Damned, becoming a permanent part of Hell. Characters dropped via death may only return as auditions.

Please contact your CR first if you are planning on killing your character off as a drop method.

Upon death, character profiles are removed from the unit's page entirely.

  • Graduation—Drop only
Congratulations, your character wins imeeji! They can accept an offer from Heaven and return to their world, alive and well, or they can choose to join Hell and become a demon, in exchange for a wish of their choice (as long as the wish isn't game-breaking).
    • Upon being given their graduation offer, the character may choose to regain their memories.
    • Heaven graduates lose their imeeji abilities, and lose their corruptions … probably. They are, for the most part, not disturbed by demons any longer. If they were dead previously, or otherwise in a state of being unable to live independently, their ailments will be cured. They may not return to imeeji, and they may not move between worlds.
    • Hell graduates keep their imeeji abilities as well as their corruptions. They are able to return to imeeji as Game hosts, and they may move between worlds that are Hell-aligned.
    • All graduates keep their phones. They may not text or call in-game characters, but they may play phone games with in-game characters. They may also send and receive mail.
    • Graduated idols are out of play, and their versions cannot be reapped, although AU versions of them are still free to be apped into the game.
    • To graduate, an idol has to have been in the game for a minimum of 6 OOC months total. If they were dropped and reapped, the time in the interim does not count towards the total; however, if their time prior to dropping spanned at least 6 months, players may temporarily bring the characters back in a one-time post to have them graduated.
    • To see what happens to characters post-Graduation, you can check out our information pages!

To graduate, fill out the following form and email to imeeji.p @ gmail, with GRADUATION: [character name] as a header:

This form is meant to open up a dialogue, so we can get you something customized and rad for the graduation! Once you answer this stuff, we'll get back to you, possibly with more questions!

We may add more options for dropping and hiatusing in the future.

If you are on hiatus for 2 weeks or more, you may be exempt from Activity Check for one month every four months—that is, if you took a hiatus exemption in January, the earliest you can be exempt again is May. However, if, due to extenuating circumstances, you need to take a longer hiatus or you need to hiatus with more frequency, please contact us—we are generally understanding and you'll get a positive answer more than you won't!

If you are dropping or going on hiatus, please comment and fill out the following:
