Heaven Graduation & Life After Imeeji

So your character has graduated to Heaven! What happens now?

Going HomeHeaven's ProtectionVisitation

Going Home back to top
At the time of graduation offer, the Heaven Graduate may choose which world they return to. Upon the initial choice, they may not change their mind, even if they wish to return to their own world. However, as of Day 402, they may visit their home world if they desires—see "Visitation".

The following benefits are given to Heaven Graduates as matter of course:
  • Graduates return home alive if they were dead (possibly right after their death or sometime later—this is up to OOC player discretion)

  • If the Graduate did not have their own body (e.g. if they were a split personality) they have the option to gain their own body to live as themself.

  • Graduates with deadly illnesses are partially or entirely cured, at least enough that they can live a long life (this is up to OOC player discretion)

  • Monetary stipend in the local currency, enough to live in frugal security for several decades if they wanted to

Additionally, all Heaven Graduates have their corruptions "removed", or at least hidden to the point that they cannot be detected. Graduates may occasionally feel something similar to phantom pain, but the effects don't linger for long.

All Heaven Graduates sign an NDA and cannot divulge any information about the imeeji Idol Program or the Hells to any non-imeeji idols, though they can vaguely and cryptically say they went to Heaven, Hell, the afterlife, etc.

Heaven's Protection back to top
As part of the Heaven Graduation deal, the original world that the graduate comes from will be protected—that is, the world will not be invaded by demons from Hell (though they may be visited by the occasional Angel). This is not necessarily the world they return to—if a character from Hamtaro graduates and moves to the Digimon world, the Hamtaro world will be protected, but not the Digimon world (which will remain a Neutral world until a graduate from the Digimon world changes that).

As further protection, denizens of Heaven-aligned worlds are, by and large, not taken to Hell upon death. Instead, Heaven-aligned worlds create a cycle of reincarnation (if there was not already one in place), allowing all who die to reincarnate. The exception to this are particularly pious souls, who may be recruited by Angels to become, themselves, Angels. Please note: information regarding what happens to souls when they die, reincarnation, etc, are not currently IC available information in imeeji proper.

For the purposes of appability, please assume that future idols from a Heaven-aligned world were taken before the world was Heaven-aligned (that is, when the world was Neutral).

Should there be graduates of varying paths (e.g. someone graduated to Hell, then someone afterwards graduated to Heaven), the world will be spiritually and temporally bisected—that is to say, the world will have an alternate/branching timelines, one that is Hell-aligned and one that is Heaven-aligned.

Visitation back to top
Hell Graduates may not visit Heaven-aligned worlds, though Heaven Graduates may spend time with Hell Graduates by visiting the Graduation Center. Due to the nature of Tokyo-F, they may not use their canonical abilities within imeeji (though they are free to use their unit abilities).

As of Day 402, all Hell and Heaven Graduates may contact each other via text, voice, and video chat through their phones. Additionally, Heaven Graduates may visit other Heaven-aligned worlds for up to 72 hours. They must submit their request via their imeeji-assigned cell phone, and they cannot permanently stay in another Heaven World, nor can they bring anything from their world beyond food and small gifts. Unlike the Graduation Center, however, visiting other Heaven-aligned worlds is done using the Graduates' real bodies, not mannequins.

If you have further questions on how Hell Graduates work, feel free to ask in the Q&A or on Discord, and we'll add it to this page!
