The BAD END=DEAD END balcony looks more like a fire escape, but one that's been made an extension of the occupants' own homey space. Crates with weatherproof cushions tied atop them surround some wrought-iron patio tables, and a few of the crates have been moved together by the railing to make a couch. String lights are twined through the bars, and there's even a grill that's been pushed up against one side of the space so you can commit fire-code violations, the most heinous of crimes.
