DESCRIPTION

Plover's room is much like a swamp, save for the stone flooring that's split by a river running through the wall and into the room to coalesce into a water spot at the center of the room. Propped up in the corner is her bed, with leopard print blankets; it's modern-looking despite the papyrus plants and bamboo shoots that crowd the river's edge, along with water hyacinth and banana plants that are rooted at the corners of the room as though there's water underneath the rock, making the room a veritable jungle. The river itself isn't that deep, and neither is the water spot - it's just big enough to comfortably sit like a bath, although the water looks pretty murky and uninviting; there's no telling what could be in the water (oh no! algae!). Despite its murkiness, however, if one were to swim through the river they'd find themselves down a small waterfall that leads to the catio.

In the day, the room's ceiling opens up to reveal sunlight - even if it's raining outside! - and heat the stones up to a pleasant warmth for any reptilian friends who want to sunbathe; the water retains its coolness during the day and retains the heat it's absorbed throughout the evening.

Across the bed, one of the wall's bamboo panels is loose: jiggle it free and you'll be able to find a TV set and DVD player, as well as hidden storage drawers and a small closet to hang clothes in.
